Features/Benefits

  • Reprint Of Original Artwork by David Snyder (aka Dave Snyder).
  • "The Sleeper Awakes" is a title taken from a headline of an ad for the 1969 Nova SS. Conceived as a Falcon fighter and born as an economy car, the Chevy II and Nova have become very collectable cars today.
  • Buyers discovered an attractive sporty little car with the introduction of the SS in 1963. In 1966 Chevrolet lower a 350hp 327ci motor into the engine bay and a potent little streetfighter was awakened. The 396ci Nova debuted in 1968, and in 1969 the likes of Yenko discovered the Nova transplanting the L72 427ci engines under the hood. Yenko described the 427 Nova as the scariest car he ever made.
  • Limited to 950 prints, each is signed and numbered by the artist.
  • The Man Behind The Paintings: Dave Snyder, a passionate illustrator of transportation history since age six, is an acclaimed artist from Cincinnati, Ohio. Graduating from the Central Academy of Commercial Art, Snyder embarked on a successful advertising career. However, his nostalgia for transportation history led him to immortalize the auto artistry he remembered from his childhood. Snyder's work encapsulates the evolution of cars from the 1950s to the American Muscle era, inviting viewers to revisit the past through meticulously crafted scenes. His commitment to detail extends from period architecture to the minutest garage accessories, thanks to countless research hours before painting. Snyder's art is celebrated globally, with collections of his paintings and prints gracing homes worldwide and earning multiple awards. Today, he resides in Milford, Ohio with his wife and business collaborator Marion, their two daughters, and two grandsons.
