SALES ASSOCIATE (Full Time)

The Sales Associate is responsible for representing Corvette America to current and potential customers by interacting with them in person, on the phone and online in a professional and courteous manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Field catalog requests from first time callers and assure the customer’s phone number and mailing address is obtained.
  • • Request the year of the customer’s car and find out the specific needs for the car.
  • • Provide the customer with the rep’s point of contact information.
  • • Establish and setup wholesale accounts by determining if they are an automotive related business.
  • • Field orders from wholesale and retail accounts/customers by providing the customer with current prices and availability.
  • • The Sales Associate must inform the customer of any details relating to the length of time before they receive their order, any pricing specials, and any credit the customer may have.
  • • Miscellaneous duties such as meeting with walk-in customers, retrieving customer’s samples and getting information to help solve any customer problems.
  • • Attend and work at yearly Carlisle Car Shows as scheduled.

MINIMUM PRIOR KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

  • • High school diploma necessary and three to five years’ experience preferred working in automobile restoration industry.
  • • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and AS400 environments.
  • • Possess assertiveness skills and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • • Knowledgeable about Corvettes and the interior parts of Corvettes.
  • • Possess an outgoing and personable personality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Sales Associate will be occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, squat, and lift or move up to 30 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Sales Associate works in a well-lighted, temperature controlled environment.

MANUFACTURING ASSOCIATE (Full Time)

The Manufacturing Associate may work in various departments of Corvette America's manufacturing facility depending on work load. The Associate is responsible for ensuring that our customer’s expectations are met by completing intermediate and final production processes of the hard goods products. The Manufacturing Associate must thoroughly inspect each product to find and correct flaws prior to routing it to the next operation or inspection station, place all cosmetic and needed hardware on the product, cut and glue excess material, and clean the product ensuring customer satisfaction.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Properly setup the work area for the day’s tasks including setting up equipment.
  • • Produce quality vacuum formed polystyrene and PVC products through a series of production processes.
  • • Handle all phases of foam manufacturing and installation on product.
  • • Prepare polystyrene, PVC and vinyl/plastic products for final presentation to the customer by ensuring the product matches the manufacturing order.
  • • Communicate clearly with R & D and product inspector regarding tooling, product quality and other issues.
  • • Maintain and keep needed supplies and tools stocked and communicate when tools/machinery needs repaired or replaced.
  • • Properly shut down and organize your work area at the end of each day by following machine and equipment shut down procedures.
  • • Other duties as assigned by the Team Leader or Production Supervisor.

MINIMUM PRIOR KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

  • • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • • Good communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and attention to detail.
  • • Basic math and computer skills.
  • • Ability to use hand and power tools in a safe and efficient manner.
  • • Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Manufacturing Associate is subject to standing, bending, squatting, pushing, lifting objects, crawling and working in otherwise awkward positions.

WORK ENVIRONMENT and HAZARDS

The Manufacturing Associate works in a well-lighted environment, but is subject to occasional high decibel sounds and non-toxic fumes associated with production. The duties of the position include working with tools, machinery and other items that have sharp edges.

RESEARCH & DEVELOPMENT FABRICATOR (Full Time)

The R&D Fabricator is responsible for building molds used in the production of new products, and repairing and/or modifying molds already used in production, as needed. The R&D Fabricator is also responsible for the department’s machinery, equipment and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

  • • Fabricate molds, dies and tooling that will be used in the production of new products.
  • • Perform repair, rebuilding, modifications and/or overhaul of manufacturing/service dies, molds and tooling as needed.
  • • Participate in problem solving with coworkers in R&D and production when a mold, die and/or tooling presents a quality issue.
  • • Plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop equipment and machine tools, producing parts to tolerances and company specifications.
  • • Maintain and repair all tools and machinery used in the production process.
  • • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.
  • • Requisition parts and materials as needed.
  • • Other duties as assigned.

JOB KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS / QUALIFICATIONS

  • • Ability to use hand and trades type tools required.
  • • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings helpful.
  • • Proficient with precision measuring and gauging tools.
  • • Previous wood shop and/or automotive body working skill experience desirable.
  • • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
  • • Good high school math, language and reading skills required.
  • • Good communication skills, including the ability to communicate with employees of all levels.
  • • Demonstrate the ability to work as part of a team and in a positive manner.
  • • High school diploma or equivalent required.
