SALES ASSOCIATE (Full Time)

The Sales Associate is responsible for representing Corvette America to current and potential customers by interacting with them in person, on the phone and online in a professional and courteous manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Field catalog requests from first time callers and assure the customer’s phone number and mailing address is obtained.
  • • Request the year of the customer’s car and find out the specific needs for the car.
  • • Provide the customer with the rep’s point of contact information.
  • • Establish and setup wholesale accounts by determining if they are an automotive related business.
  • • Field orders from wholesale and retail accounts/customers by providing the customer with current prices and availability.
  • • The Sales Associate must inform the customer of any details relating to the length of time before they receive their order, any pricing specials, and any credit the customer may have.
  • • Miscellaneous duties such as meeting with walk-in customers, retrieving customer’s samples and getting information to help solve any customer problems.
  • • Attend and work at yearly Carlisle Car Shows as scheduled.

MINIMUM PRIOR KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

  • • High school diploma necessary and three to five years’ experience preferred working in automobile restoration industry.
  • • Must be familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and AS400 environments.
  • • Possess assertiveness skills and remain calm in stressful situations.
  • • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • • Knowledgeable about Corvettes and the interior parts of Corvettes.
  • • Possess an outgoing and personable personality.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Sales Associate will be occasionally required to stand, walk, reach, squat, and lift or move up to 30 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Sales Associate works in a well-lighted, temperature controlled environment.

SEWING MACHINE OPERATOR (Full Time)

The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for ensuring the expectations of its internal and the company’s external customers. The Sewing Machine Operator is responsible for operating a sewing machine to assemble or finish leather or vinyl products while meeting production standards and maintain the sewing machine by doing normal preventative maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • • Follow work instructions and work orders to properly sew products using correct machine settings, materials and thread for the product to be completed in the time allotted.
  • • Inspect each piece of material or work in progress and other raw materials to ensure quality standards are met.
  • • Communicate clearly with internal customers including the product inspector regarding quality and other issues.
  • • Properly shut down and organize workstation at the end of each day by placing all raw materials in their appropriate storage containers, unplugging all tools and placing in their appropriate location. Sweeping the work area and taking trash to outside receptacles.
  • • Maintain and keep needed supplies and tools stocked.
  • • Other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM PRIOR KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE / REQUIREMENTS

  • • High school diploma or equivalent and level of understanding needed to excel in this position.
  • • Good communication skills - written, verbal, listening and attention to detail.
  • • Basic computer skills.
  • • Basic math skills.
  • • Good manual dexterity and hand/eye coordination.
  • • Knowledge and skill in operating sewing machines a plus. We are willing to train.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The Sewing Machine Operator is subject to long hours of continuous sewing machine operation. Must have the ability to manipulate arms, wrists, and fingers in continuous repetitive motions and must be able to lift 20 pounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

The Sewing Machine Operator works in a well-lighted environment but is subject to occasional high decibel sounds associated with production and non-toxic fumes also associated with production. Subject to extreme repetitive motion. Other duties include working with tools & machinery.
